Bicycle Tour Gardens, Art and Cherry Wine on Lolland

Japanse Garden, Lolland

In the area north of the ferry port Tårs with ferries from the island Langeland you find a whole cluster of nice visitor attractions which we shall visit on this guided bicycle tour.

At the manor house Frederiksdal they have become known from producing a characteristic cherry wine. We make a stop, hear about the production, and sample the wine.

The tour continues to a Japanese inspired garden, where you can rest your legs, and we have lunch in the café. The garden is owned by a British/Norwegian couple, and the visitor shop sells a selection of special handicraft and textiles.

Closeby we visit the old Vindeby Mill which has been restored and is run by volunteers (this can only be visited inside 21.6. till 2.8. Wednesdays and Sundays)

After a short bike ride we reach the quaint house of the artist Richard Winther. The house in Vindeby was the home of Richard Winther from 1993 to 2007. It served both as a workshop and living quarters. He even painted on the walls and ceilings.

Richard Winther's house can be replaced by the Paradise Garden, depending on your interests.

We head back to Tårs on small country roads.
