An Aeroplane got Shot Down
In April 1945, an aeroplane was shot down over Kattegat during a search for a submarine. It ended its days in Torstedlund Forest in the north of Jutland.
With great drama and turmoil, all whom had been on board were buried in the forest. Years later they were moved to the cemetery in Aarestrup.
