Haderslev - a Historical and Cultural Walk
Haderslev is a beautiful city that may have the largest medieval city centre in Denmark.
Unfortunately for Haderslev, it has had a very interesting history. Much has been destoyed, some parts by accidental fire, the magnificent castle Haderslevhus was ravaged by the Swedes during the 30-years war.
Fortunately, there is still much beauty, a lot of the historical heritage remains and there are many interesting stories to tell. I focus on some of the most poignant places and tell you about some of the most interesting citizens.
We could include a guided tour of:
- the cathedral (20 minutes)
- Theatre Møllen (30 min. - only by appointment)
- Ehlers Samlingen - collection of ceramics (½ hour, admission)
- Haderslev Museum (1 hour, admission)
