Frit Danmark (Free Denmark), magazine
Frit Danmark, meaning a Free Denmark, was an illegal magazine. It was published during the German occupation of Denmark 1940-1945.
The organization behind the magazine Frit Danmark wanted to create a nationwide network, which could produce and distribute the illegal magazines all over the country.
Many of the leading members behind Frit Danmark were members of the Freedom Council. This also means that some of the Freedom Council's decisions and attitude in some parts were passed on in the magazine.
Frit Danmark was the second largest illegal magazine during the occupation. It was only surpassed by the illegal magazine Land og Folk, or "Land and People", which was published by communist supporters.
