Danehof

The word Danehof refers to an imperial council or what we would know today as a parliament.

The term arosed in the mid-1300s. The term Danehof was used to describe meetings between the king and the kingdom's "best" men, the parliament of that time. On the Danehof meetings, foreign policy were discussed and conflicts of the Crown's rights and other hearings and decisions were made on these occasions.

The term Danehof replaced the constitutional assemblies, or hof (court) for short. Discussions on the constitutional assemblies, court and Danehof remained the same.
