Egtved Girl
The Egtved Girl (c.1390-1370 BC) is a girl from the Nordic Bronze Age (1700-500BC), whose well preserved body is now on display at the National Musuem in Denmark.
The Egtved Girl was found in Egtved near Vejle in 1921 in a well preserved Barrow Mound. The body and clothes of the Egtved Girl were in a remarkable state of preservation and it was possible to reconstruct what she had been wearing and eating.
The reconstruction of the Egtved Girl's costume is now on display at the Lejre Experimental Centre.
