Gyldenkrone, Christian Frederik
Christian Frederik Gyldenkrone (1741-88) built the manor house at Moesgaard.
Christian Frederik Gyldenkrone was born ten years after the building of the original Moesgaard manor.
He came from the Gyldenkrone-family, which was part of the nobility in Denmark.
Christian Frederik Gyldenkrone wanted to move Moesgaard from a marsh area to a better location. Gyldenkrone used stones from the regal house of Vilhelmborg to finish his manor house in 1788.
Today, Moesgaard is a wonderful museum.
