Hansen, Holger Møller
Holger Møller Hansen (1915-2000) was a professional inventor, who invented the endoscope and bubble wrap.
Møller Hansen worked as a gardener, electrician, soldier and engineer. His inventions were embraced by many different areas - from the medicine industry, where he invented fiberscopes, colostomy bags, infusion- and transfusion equipment, to packaging, where he invented the bubble wrap
At the age of 18, while he served in the Army, Holger Møller Hansen constructed a device, which could send secret military code messages - known as the Cryptograph. This device was used by the Danish national defense.
Møller Hansen did only receive financial support for a few of his patents. Unfortunately, thse were usually realized by others, who were able to provide the right support from companies and institutes.
