From Gorm the Old to Margrethe the 2nd. Lecture by Lone
Our monarch, Queen Margrethe II, has now ruled for 40 years. In a relatively straight line, she is a descendant of the first king of Denmark, Gorm the Old and his Queen Thyra.
Denmark was once a large empire in northern Europe, now we are just a small country. The kings (and some queens) have ruled the country through war and crises, some more successful than others.
Get a story about the relationship between the Danish rulers’ history through the times. There will be stories about many of the kings, and it might be questioned whether the kings, many consider the "good guys" really were the good guys!
