The Story of Danish Jewry. By Bus from Copenhagen to Gilleleje
Around 1600 King Christian IV invited Jews of the Portuguise Nation from the Netherlands to settle in Denmark.
On a guidet tour I will tell you the history of the Jewish Danes from that time and until the murder of volunteer guard Dan Uzan by a Muslim terrorist at the gates of Copenhagen's Great Synagogue in 2015.
The tour visit the Geat Synagogue, the Round Tower, the old Jewish cemetary in Møllegade, the Jewish Museum, Gilleleje Church and the embarkation beaches of the Jews' escape to Sweden during WWII.
