I would love to take you to the Faroes, these islands of sea and cliffs, small villages and a proud population.

A well-known Danish journalist went to the Faroe Islands and asked an old Faroese he was interviewing, "Don't you feel very isolated here?" whereto the man answered, "What from?" These Nordic islands and their proud inhabitants in the middle of the North Atlantic are well worth a visit!

I am Danish, but I have lived and worked as a teacher for several years on one of the nineteen islands - and I would love to introduce you to the culture of this land of sea, sheep, birds and cliffs - where the fishing industry goes hand in hand with a highly developed handicraft production.
